I think this is still her best look, by far, and it's amazing because it's JUST A TANK DRESS. And yet. Her hair looks good here, too -- this is basically Jennifer Lawrence as we first discovered her.
This is the beachy "half the people bike to this event" version of the above and it's SO GOOD on her. I think it's the hair she was born to have. I say that because I have no idea if it's all the hair she was born WITH, so... you know.
This is too ironed-out and spiky on her; she is, as a person, neither of those things.
And here we get Beachy WIth Bangs. And a neckline that did Amy Adams in "American Hustle" before that movie was even a glint in David O. Russell's eye.
I remember when everyone reacted so strongly to her going short here,, not realizing where it would go. I like it in its wavy iteration...
... but not as much in the slicked-down version. The theme of this post is that I like my J.Lawr wavy and unfussy.
And here she is with her Katniss brown tresses and bangs. I think I'm veto-ing fringe on her as well, especially with the dark hair, because...
... when they're combed off to the side I think they do her face more favors. And her eyes. She carried off the brown hair pretty well, but my choice for her is a honey blonde.
I think of this as her Ancient Sculpture hair. It's the short cut, fluffed up, in a way where I expect her to be one of those living statues, trying to be a Greek god and waiting for someone to return the laurel wreath that those hooligans yanked off her head while she was contractually bound not to move.
Styled up and off to one side is an improvement on the former, but...
... the sassy cut with the longer bangs is, of the short hairdos, the one I prefer the most. It's the one context in which I am pro-bangs on her, because they give the haircut a spice it otherwise lacks, and keep it looking youthful rather than like Blanche Devereaux.
