Sloane Stephens

It was nice to see Sloane in action over the weekend -- she almost clawed back against Sabalenka, but it seemed like in the end it was almost more down to whether Sabalenka was concentrating or not.

We also got this really nice bright pink...

And then this super red. I bet she had blue in there somewhere too, which we never got to see. CURSES. I'd love to see her make a run at another major.

Carlos Alcaraz

Far be it from me to tell Mr. Alcaraz what to do on a tennis court, but I think it works better if you hold the other end of the racket. He's SURELY going to start getting his own custom stuff from Nike? For now, he's modeling their green squiggly collection.

Bianca Andreescu

Thrilled to see Bibi out there -- she had a brutal-seeming injury in Miami, and I assumed she'd be gone for a long stretch. She also picked the green.

Aryna Sabalenka

Aryna went pink, but I really don't like those shorts with it. They kept riding up on her.

Zheng Qinwen

But, I also admit that I'm biased and will always personally gravitate to a cute pleated skirt.

Brenda Fruhvirtova

Also on display here, in purple! Or blue? Blurple!

Peyton Stearns

I like the blurple!

Holger Rune

Holger does, too. He's with us.

Peyton Stearns

Peyton also brought along an alternate version that... might be nifty but also might be tortured? Could it be both?

Jannik Sinner

And, here's a purple version. Is this the B-level Nike kit, or something?

Karen Khachanov

Tennis Hemsworth looks boring but respectable.

Frances Tiafoe

Petition to score Frances something as exciting as his shoes.

Taylor Fritz

Poor Fritz went on the fritz and exited early, in his clashing shirt and headband. Man, it must be EXHAUSTING knowing that blowhard McEnroe is up in the booth loudly counting how many Americans are left in the tourney. There are plenty of people to root for who aren't American, JOHN. Although it's true that American tennis is in a bit of a... rebuilding phase is not the word, but we haven't had a rock-star guy since Roddick.

Coco Gauff

And, Venus and Serena aren't playing anymore (did V officially retire?) so that's left a GOAT-shaped hole in American women's tennis that Coco Gauff seemingly is expected to fill. I hope her doubles partner (and singles star in her own right) Jess Pegula is helping out with THAT emotional load, and that Jen Brady comes roaring back soon. However, Coco is as delightful as ever, and sure SEEMS unfazed by the weight of everyone's desire for her to GOAT it up all over the place. I like her outfit pieces better separately than together.

Novak Djokovic

THIS f*cking guy. Probably going to win and break Rafa's record. I can't. Whatever.

Anett Kontaveit

This seems good!

Grigor Dimitrov

Classic green from Lacoste here. It works.

Daniil Medvedev

Apparently he's wearing it, too. I don't know why I downloaded this. I SHOULD have downloaded the one where his finger is up his nose. (In fairness, he got a nosebleed. BEFORE OR AFTER THOUGH, Daniil? Cue Ralph Wiggum.)

Elena Rybakina

Elena, your Wimbledon champ, got sick and pulled out, which has to suck. I like her color scheme.

Caroline Garcia

There is of course a Barbiecore version.

Leylah Fernandez

Leylah lost a hard-fought second round match -- she hasn't really had her singles mojo since that dream US Open run -- but she's still alive in doubles. I like this lululemon on her.

Karolina Pliskova

I like this. It's like a black-and-white art film.

Elina Avanesyan

Oooh, I like this! I'm into the contrasting pleats.

Xinyu Wang

I can do the messy blotchy pattern, too. Not mad.

Stefanos Tsitsipas

His version somehow looks messier and bloodier. I do appreciate his ability to strike this pose without realizing it.

Maria Sakkari

Maria went with the skirt (I always call her Iron Chef Sakkari because there was an Iron Chef Sakai back in the day, and my brain just likes that they sound similar, and this DOES look like an apron she might have worn to butcher some meat for Chairman Kaga's meal).

Jess Pegula

And, Jessica has long sleeves with it. Did she not swelter?!?

Ekaterina Alexandra

Here's a random aqua fila. Is Aquafila the heretofore undiscovered cousin to Awkwafina?

Ons Jabeur

I can't decide if the purple needed to be invited to this party.

Alexander Kovecevic

See? It works with white.

Jiri Vesely

Maybe the purple shoes are what it needs to tie together.

Gael Monfils

Gael matches the clay.

Elias Ymer

"Dear Diary: I tried to manifest a headband that would match my awesome shirt, and Nike has not delivered. Please try calling the Universe again."

Iga Swiatek

It does the job! Much like Iga, who seems in good form to win.

Stan Wawrinka

Technically Stan came back last year, but he had a rough one in the majors and I didn't really see him, so: WELCOME BACK, STAN.

Daniel Altmaier

"DID YOU HEAR? STAN IS BACK! AGAIN!!!!"

Elina Svitolina

I LOVE how snazzy this is. Svitolina is on the comeback after having a baby (with Monfils). She's also from Ukraine and has declined to shake hands with her Russian opponents due to the war. Her next opponent: Sabalenka of Belarus, who has been canceling press appearances because people have been asking about her friendship with the president, who is a Putin ally. The political plot thickens!

Belinda Bencic

Blocky but fun.

Jelena Ostapenko

This is honestly a bit boring for her.

Jelena Ostapenkno

Better?

Julia Grabher

Well OBVIOUSLY I'm on board with the stripes.

Cameron Norrie

I love when the photogs get artsy. Here, Cameron Norrie is in a very simple grey and white shirt...

Cameron Norrie

"YEEEEEES, I PRAYED FOR A POP OF COLOR AND I GOT IT."

Diane Parry

This reminds me of that Kohl's (or was it Wal-Mart?) shirt that Roman Roy was wearing in the Succession finale when he went to mama's island getaway.

Marton Fucsovics

MORE OF THIS PLEASE. This is giving me early Agassi. Not that he wore specifically this, but he WOULD have. He loved to be bright.

Benoit Paire

"Pardon but I am FAR too busy cultivating my beard to worry about colorways."

Marta Kostyuk

We need to get her some souped up tennies, too. That's a good dress.

Dan Evans

Approved!

Constant Lestienne

"I know, just yellow? Doesn't seem fair."

Thiago Seyboth Wild

"MMMMMM."

Jean-Julien Rojer

This is the ONLY photo I have of this shirt, from the doubles round, and I MUST KNOW MORE. And now there is such a clear path for where we should go with this. Cue KC Tunstall's "Suddenly I See."

I would pay Djokovic money to wear this during a match. Although I don't want him to have my money, so. Maybe... sigh, I need a tennis fave again. I guess the idea is for Rafa to come back and wear it HIMSELF.

The French Open Kits Aren't The Same Without Serena and Rafa

But we shall soldier on!
