It's a kick watching someone strut out onto a tennis court in a gown. You know that little girl leading her out is LOVING THIS.

She disrobed in stages. First, the vest. Eventually the skirt, leaving just the sequins.

Version two: A white skirt and a jacket.

This is what she actually played in. I like it! Anyone who's seen how gutted Naomi is to lose knows how much she cares about the tennis itself, and I like that she - like Serena before her - can inject a little fun and personality while also showing people it doesn't mean you care any less.

I would never deny a close-up! So shiny, so flippy.
Coco Gauff

I like the purple! I only JUST noticed the frill on her ankle socks, which I didn't expect. Coco doesn't dabble like that (YET).

This very muddy version is a bummer.

Coco's New Balance in the previous slide had the translucent skirt, and Nike is apparently doing that as well. I like it better in a black and red combo.
Aryna Sabalenka

It still might KIND OF look like she's playing in a bathing suit?

I wonder how Nike feels about those extra sponsors being jammed on there, almost stepping on the swoosh.
Madison Keys

Maddie got the Limeade version.

TWO limeades! Although this would be a VERY limey limeade.
Daniil Medvedev

The majors are really messing with Meddie's head right now. But, win or lose, he always gets photographed looking at the ball as if he's still trying to decide whether to hit it. "Ehhhhhhhhhhhhh yes okay fine."

This photo is hilarious to me. WHAT shot are you attempting, sir?

I'm not a real lululemon person, but the color-blocking here works so nicely.
Jannik Sinner

He's so cute. I love his blue toned threads. And I CANNOT BELIEVE he is out already. The cramping, as noted, is not a huge surprise from him -- but he almost always rebounds. Maybe even ALWAYS always. But he's also always in the finals, if not winning too, and so this dude plays a HELL of a lot of points in a year. It had to get him eventually.
Iga Swiatek

On did really good work for this tourney!
Joao Fonseca

The paint spatter is a hoot. ESPN shoved this guy down our throats so hard two years ago that it made me dislike him, when that is truly NOT his fault and so I am actively trying to get over it. I watched him win the other day and it WAS a fun match, and I will definitely be rooting for him to live up to that potential against Djoker. In sum, ESPN ruins things.
Ben Shelton

Trinity Rodman's boyfriend crashed out in straight sets. His dad is his coach and they seem to have a great relationship, but I wonder if he needs to change it up to take that next step that's eluding him. (Right, right, the clothes. The shirt also works sleeveless!)
Frances Tiafoe
PARIS, FRANCE - MAY 25: Frances Tiafoe of United States plays a backhand during his Men's Singles first round match against Eliot Spizzirri of United States on Day Two of the 2026 French Open at Roland Garros on May 25, 2026 in Paris, France. (Photo by Clive Brunskill/Getty Images)
I've been concerned that Francis's moment has come and gone, but it was nice to see him fight back and make the third round. Still cheering for you, Big Foe!! He celebrated by hugging a bunch of strangers in the crowd and one of them totally snatched his racket. Don't STEAL, guys. You are ruining a fun thing!
Emma Raducanu

Alas, I am not sure HER moment will ever come again, either. She and Leylah Fernandez had such a dream run to that US Open final and it's never been the same since. (Leylah needs to stop working with her dad FOR SURE.)
Rinky Hijikata

This might be my favorite outfit in the whole slideshow.

Could Lacoste make him better coordinated shoes? Yes. But the orange is nice.

He really does give GREAT photos.

I think my favorite part of this is the red racket.
Luka Pavlovic

This photo is hilarious. He looks SO BORED. But the teal and orange are excellent together.

The stripes! I'm SO PLEASED.
Marta Kostyuk

This is such a cute cut, in a drab color. Imagine if it had stripes! I'm just saying.

I misread this as "Vuori Radio," and now I'm sad there isn't an XM station solely about sweatpants.
Rebecca Sramkova

Jessica Pegula

She had a rough round, but she looked good, so at least THAT battle went her way.
Elina Svitolina

This is the other version of that kit and it's ALSO good, but mostly: Is the chandelier tat new, or did I just not notice it before?!?
Taylor Townsend

Taylor drew Coco in round 1, which really sucks for her. But also, much like J.Peg, she looked great! The green, the sparkles! A win of sorts.
Adrian Mannarino

If Adrian plans to keep his head shaved, I think they should put him in a color.
Gael Monfils

He fought, but he didn't have any gas left for the fifth set, and now he's done -- this was his last time at Roland Garros because he's retiring. I will miss him. He's SO fun to watch, and not for nothing, that is triumphant kit.
Stan Wawrinka

And Stan lost, and now he's gone, too. Why can't Zverev be the one who bows out?!?!
