Ryan Lochte

I don't mind the idea here, but the big white cuffs poking out look a little silly to me, like he had delusions of piracy.

Ryan Lochte

Okay, this is a slightly better version -- maybe this was earlier in the night. But in THIS light, I'm not as sure about the navy (?) jacket with the dark pants. And the velvet is a little Hef. Then again, if anyone's Heffing it up right now in London, it's probably Ryan "I've Got The Key, You Bring The" Lochte.

Ryan Lochte

At the Speedo bash, Ryan went with this. Hmm. Again, I sort of see where he was going, but do the pieces fit? Specifically, I think he needs a more tailored pant if he's going to try for a slim-fitting sweater. Although I applaud the Mr. Rogers aura. "It's fantasy time, ladies," he seems to be saying. "So get on my trolley, 'cause I'm licensed to drive."

Nathan Adrian

I wish somebody had bought Nathan a hip sweater or something. Still, what's to hate, really? It's jeans and a t-shirt. A little underdressed, maybe, but he looks all set to put in some face time and then go grab a beer, and THAT is where Fug Nation will swoop, so it's all good. Assuming Natalie Coughlin hasn't swooped first. (I've decided it's all friendly. Or that Kristen Stewart paid them each handsomely to deflect some of her heat, which, by the way, has yet to land on Rupert Sanders the way I think it should have. PEOPLE. HE's 41. She should know better, but he REALLY should know better AND be mature enough to put his family first, thus making him, I think, the bigger jacksmack in this scenario. THE END.)

Elizabeth Beisel

Not loving the lacy tank over this dress. You're an OLYMPIC SWIMMER, Elizabeth! You have a kickin' figure. Rock it. Also, as a sidebar: For some reason this is never how I expect her hair to look. When I saw her on the medal podium I didn't even recognize her. I kind of wish she'd go brunette. Chlorine is so MEAN to blonde, even if you're in a swim cap.

Tyler Clary

Love that rugby shirt; wish he were wearing kicks instead of jandals (which is what I grew up calling them, because my uncle is from New Zealand). But what can you do? It's not my call, and I am the only person in the universe who cares. They just make me think of popped collars, frat parties, and boys who wear their sunglasses wrapped backward around their head.

Michael Phelps and girlfriend

Apparently, there is this big brouhaha about the model who is dating Phelps -- it seems they've quietly been together since January, and now that they're public, the world has decided she's Using Him For Fame. Here is my thought: Who cares? I mean, besides him. Although he might not even care. He's a big boy. I'm pretty sure he can take care of himself, and it's not like she is excruciating to look at. If she's excruciating to spend time with, well, that's his problem. In other news, he looks nice. But we're now entering the period where he is going to grow back his stubble and let himself get all shaggy, which is a shame, because history shows he looks way better when he's clean-cut for competition.

Natalie Coughlin

Well, hell, now I need a leather jacket. Thanks, Natalie.

Fug and Fab the Swimmers: Speedo parties and beyond
We've amply covered their awesomeness when they are wearing their skin, but what of America's Most Lusted when they're clad in things other than lycra and abdominal cheese graters? The party circuit will tell us. [Photos: Fame/Flynet, Splash]
