This outfit makes me roll my eyes. I don't really know why. It's a pretty dress; I think I'm just sick of peachy pinks. And I can't separate it from the context, which is that I think she's pushing way, way too hard. It's like she doesn't remember that there isn't any middle ground between see-through black lace and Twee-a Michele. I get that she probably wants to look young and cheery so that she gets permission to stop grieving and start trying to salvage her poorly faring pop album, but the styling here just makes her look insane. The llpstick looks clownish with it, her hair is an ombre tangle with deeply severe fringe, and those things together are SUPER unflattering to her face. It's a bummer. I don't know why she fights against herself this much.

And now I feel like I can See Too Much, which might not be true, but it underscores that this is not THAT far removed from being a nightgown and I don't know if kids really need to choose nipples right now.
