[We did this post last year, and it was really fun](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/fug-nation-loves-fancy-and-fancy-ish-advent-calendars-10-2020/), so I thought -- why not make it a tradition, like advent calendars are for people in general! I will note, as I believe I did last year, that the British have really nailed the advent calendar concept -- [WITNESS THE LIBERTY ONE! It is divine](https://rstyle.me/+FE-xYjrwa4mlIdLOJEVlrA?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)! Or all [the ones they have at Fortnum & Mason, my goodness](https://www.fortnumandmason.com/seasonal-events/christmas/gifts-and-decorations/advent-calendars?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) \-- but (a) most British shops *do* ship to the US [in case you see something at Selfridges that you want](https://shopstyle.it/l/bzyQ6?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io), like this one that's [ALL MINCE PIES](https://shopstyle.it/l/bzyRc?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io), and (b) the rest of us are definitely catching up. For example, [there is now an advent calendar that is *just* Williams Sonoma Peppermint Bark. Just in cute, different shapes and sizes. ](https://rstyle.me/+E%5FDHautMqNTw56bBTvHFSA?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)There are even advent calendars [specifically for your dogs](https://rstyle.me/+JhtIrd9RxWo4%5FR2N1zo3Pw?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) or [your cats](https://rstyle.me/+%5FOn8mQ7ktdRgfqSlK00KQw?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)! Here's one [that is just tiny rubber duckies!](https://rstyle.me/+tYs6MhNHbETcjYoHuiHfTQ?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)

Before we get too deep into this, I need to thank my friend Morgan for sending me MANY of these when we were having an Advent Calendar-themed chat; she did like 35% of the work for me here. (Our conversation started with [this beautiful tea-themed one from Mariage Freres.](https://www.mariagefreres.com/UK/2-noel-haute-couture-christmas-calendar-2021-E98702.html?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)) Also, I couldn't get this in the widget, but [Food52 has a nice selection of Advent calendars](https://shopstyle.it/l/bzwtY?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) if you want to look at other snacky ones. But trust me when I say that you have OPTIONS:
