So, I was noodling around looking at [the new arrivals on J.Crew last night](https://rstyle.me/+7JwhFehtt2KUsQlfmWlHJw?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) and I found myself literally contemplating buying a new spring dress. And then I thought: Clearly, I must (at least subconsciously) believe that I will be emerging from my pandemic hole eventually and that I might want to wear something cheerful and breezy when I do. It is the height of optimism to buy a new dress right now, perhaps, but maybe a little optimism is warranted?
