If it makes you feel better, her awards season wardrobe drastically improved as said season went on.

She designed this herself, and I appreciate the creativity! Having said that, it does feel -- as Tim Gunn would say -- like student work, and I think she'd benefit from collaborating with someone a little more experienced in this arena next time. I actually think Borstein is really striking and would look cool and feel unstoppable in more of an Art Gallery Bitch vibe.

If it makes you feel better, she looked AMAZING at the after-parties and basically this was the only clunker of weeks of red carpet events. (Even Christian Siriano seemed to know it wasn't quite perfect.)
