BEST: Anna Paquin

This is fab on her; she is pretty good at bringing it to the big events.

BEST: Allison Williams

This is lovely. And THIS is apparently the dress that Anne Hathaway was scared her discarded Valentino would be compared to. Which, yeah, I see it -- but COME ON. NO ONE is going to remember that a cast member of Girls wore something similar when they think about Hathaway winning her Oscar. Poor Anne. she and I both need a vacation. But Williams looks quite pretty.

BEST: Amy Adams

Bombshell. This might be the best she's ever looked.

BEST: Britney Spears

She looks so cute, y'all!

BEST: Carolyn Murphy

This is simple, but gorgeous on her. That color! We don't see enough of it.

BEST: Danai Gurira

This is gorgeous AND it coordinates with the backdrop of the step-and-repeat. That's masterful.

BEST: Diane Kruger

I think this is tremendous.

BEST: Elizabeth Banks

Speaking of tremendous, this is also fantastic.

BEST: Emma Roberts

This is the best she's looked in a long time. Bonus points for how it looks like she has a little collar.

BEST: Fan Bingbing

This is deeply glorious.

BEST: Ginnifer Goodwin

This blue is fantastic on her; she ought to wear it more often.

BEST: Jennifer Lawrence

Shiny!

BEST: Juliette Lewis

Flowery!

BEST: Kate Beckinsale

Princess-y!

BEST: Leslie Mann

Pool party!

BEST: Lily Collins

This is very glam indeed. She decided to go big, rather than home.

BEST: Mary Elizabeth Winstead

Her pockets really work on this.

BEST: Minnie Driver

Shiny, AGAIN!

BEST: Nina Dobrev

She and Elizabeth Banks can go head to head for Best Pattern of the Night.

BEST: Selena Gomez

This is one of the few times that something so delicate and pale really works without looking terrible twee or washing out the wearer.

BEST: Solange

Solange is divine in yellow.

BEST: Vanessa Hudgens

More SHINY. This Oscars was unusually shiny.

WORST: Alessandra Ambrosio

This is like the dress version of an overblown Vegas bathroom.

WORST: Anne Hathaway

Seriously, I pray that Rachel Zoe will one day speak out about how Annie's sartorial choices this Oscar season almost killed her.

WORST: Bonnie Wright

Aw, Ginny. At least she looks happy?

WORST: Chad Michael Murray

This is so terrible it basically comes all the way around again to being AMAZING.

WORST: Christa B. Allen

If only this had been on Revenge</>'s fiery boat explosion.

WORST: Emmy Rossum

Oh, Emmy. The Oscars are not a costume party. Well, not in the strictest sense of the word.

WORST: Faye Dunaway

She can meet CMM in the INSANE TURNS AWESOME section of the party.

WORST: Gabrielle Anwar

I was crying when I met this. Now I'm dying to forget this. This look is sweet misery.

WORST: Hailee Steinfeld

One day, this will be just a blip in her storied and well-dressed career.

WORST: Heidi Klum

WE GET IT.

WORST: Hilary Swank

Subtle.

WORST: Judy Greer

I seriously thought this was Laura Prepon when I saw it. Laura Prepon is SUPER cute, but it's weird when suddenly someone's face doesn't look like it belongs to her.

WORST: Liberty Ross

Just...no.

WORST: Lili Simmons

JUST NO.

WORST: Mena Suvari

In fairness, last year she DID win Fug Nation's Worst Dressed for showing up as a bird.

WORST: Olivia Munn

Remember what we said about too much? Deja vu.

WORST: Rose McGowan

Sigh.

WORST: Zoe Saldana

SO gorgeous. So misguided here.

WORST: Zooey Deschanel

I can smell the dust and mold from here. Through my laptop. Oh, Zooey. You are better than this.
