This dress is INCREDIBLY basic, per her usual, but it's also sleek in a way that was probably weird for her given everything that's happened. I think she looks minimalist and beautiful. And when you've just been through the wringer and you're at an event where you KNOW everyone is going to be looking at you, there MIGHT be some fun in going totally off the wall and insane, but actually there's a genius to wearing something this basic. It's like saying, "If you are looking at me, it's not because I'm asking you to; it's because I am FASCINATING you."
Having said that, some of the pulling around the waist makes it look cheap, which should be a crime for anything that is doubtless so far the opposite.
Brad is doing some whole Fabio thing with his hair now, which I WISH somebody would tell him actually somehow makes him look older. And also kind of homeless. I wonder if he's thinking, "Man, the best times with Gwyneth were when our hair matched, so..."
And there was a lot of looking at each other, and smiling, and doing everything that yo do when you've had two consecutive People covers all about how your love is HULK SMASH strong.
And there was... giggling? Yawning? Checking whether his breath is bad or not?
And also, we got some of the Jopitts.
And there were also stuffed animals with messages of love, presumably from a fan, although I now wish Brad had gotten down on one knee and presented her with it on the red carpet as a token of his undying esteem. I actually think she is probably autographing it for a fan, but it's interesting how you forget she isn't even in this movie. Such is the power of the Jolie.
