This is the polar opposite of the look we featured yesterday. Where that was all whips and chains, this is sweetness and light. She did a great job with minimalist makeup that still gives her a defined mouth and highlighted eyes, but which doesn't overdramatize nor fight with the delicacies of the dress. But I wish I could shorten it an inch or two. And I concur with everyone who said she needed a pedicure with the ass-kicking black boots; polish would've helped here as well, although frankly, I'd also have tried different shoes. Those just disappear before our eyes, and not in a sexy way. The ensemble seems unfinished.

I'm also not sure about the particular pattern of the sequins. Does it look like she's molting?

I like the back, though. And these two looked like they were having a bang-up time. I feel like... listen, sometimes I am on Team Hathaway; other times I feel like she seems like a cocktail of affectations. But if the honorable Hugh Jackman holds her in high esteem, she MUST be fun at parties, right?
