Emma Stone

I understand the temptation to do photo shoots across from the London Eye, I guess, but I also hate that somehow a giant ferris wheel -- even a cool one -- has become the most interesting landmark to whoever does these junkets. I'm sure it's because there's an easy spot right there that isn't ever TOO crowded, but this shot makes it look like they're at a closed theme park that's saddled with the world's most banal hotel. Can't they do one with Tower Bridge or Parliament in the background? This is NOT the only view of London, and indeed, barely feels like ANY view of London.

Okay, the suit. I think... it's okay? But frankly, she doesn't look very comfortable in it. She looks super rigid when she's standing there by herself, and so it makes you want to stare at the outfit and figure out what she might not like about it. Like, maybe she thinks the jacket is too boxy, or maybe it's itchy, or maybe she wishes she had it on with leather pants. OR, maybe she hates having to stand up straight and wishes she hadn't locked her knees. I really don't know. But all of it is distracting me from HER, which is bad.

It's nice having professional photographers take your vacation snaps. But I love this because all of Hollywood revolves around having someone to make sure that when the wind hits your hair, it blows back gently and romantically with the softest grace, and so I kind of love that hers got blown into three pieces. It's just sort of humanizing. She still looks good, but... I am just rambling here, and I know it. I'm sorry. But having him in the pictures with her gives Emma a way to relax into her outfit -- maybe something to lean on, physically or otherwise? -- and ergo I focus on her again and less about what the clothes are doing.

"TOO LATE. I AM THE BREAD THAT CLOSES THIS SANDWICH." Sigh. Fair enough, Jamie.
