The trend of not wearing one's coat over one's shoulders appears to be spreading to related genres.

Gabrielle is giving this her all. But I think for ME this looks rather like she is in a rom-com wherein her clothes burned off when she skulked around a restaurant -- spying on her college boyfriend and the Olympic medalist he's about to propose to -- and accidentally tripped into a Bananas Foster, and the maitre d' had to lend her an oversize sportcoat from their Closet of Things They Lend Diners Who Aren't Properly Attired.
