I don't actually hate this fabric, in theory. It would make fantastic home decor. I think MJ just overworked it into this dress, and it's that AND the styling that are combining to make her loveliness feel strangely beside the point.

The bodice is not ideal. I don't like the one sleeve, and this whole shot zooms in on the reality that it may be improperly fitted. It ALSO looks like the slit went even higher and they tacked it so it'd be an inch lower.

Also, the variation in pattern only seems to be on the side and the sleeve, and I guess part of the bodice. It's not an unappealing idea for a dress; I just wish that with a material this loud, it had been kept a bit more simple in the design phase. Let the fabric strike you on its own.
