"LEGEND COMING THROUGH. STEP ASIDE. DO NOT BREAK THE LEGEND. Also, Meryl Streep is here. HA HA HA HA."
"Here you go, America. I give you Meryl Streep. She is a treasure. But she's so fragile and elderly that I should probably hold onto her just in case.
"No no, Meryl, I can't release you yet. You're not quite done -- wait until the toothpick comes out clean." And Meryl is thinking, "Oh, child. Clutch me all you want. I'M NO ONE'S PURSE and everybody knows it, and my Oscars could surround your Oscar and scare the mystic pizza out of it."
Seriously, I guess it's good that they appear to like each other? Unless they're secretly hissing threats at each other.
Julia does look nice close-up -- if she's ever had work done, I certainly can't tell; she looks very much like herself. And also like the fancy equestrian version of herself, who just came from a dressage practice and is very hopeful she can make the 2016 team in Rio.
Talking outfits: Meryl's was basic and fine and non-horrifying; Julia's could be cute but I can't quite tell what it is. I'm sure it's NOT a giant tuxedo jacket-dress, but maybe? I like it conceptually, for sure. Except for the shoes.
The shoes are not working for me. I don't like when shoe straps cross that low on a foot with nothing else over the toes. It's... enlarging.
Clingy J does at least have a very nice green ring.
I DO like Meryl's sassy pumps, though. She knows. Julia can enjoy this but Meryl sneezes bigger than her even during a minor allergy attack.
