The hair is unreservedly great. Clearly Katie is buying some top-notch shampoos with her suck-it-Scientology money, and cheers to that. But aside from the fact that she still has a super self-conscious stance (can't say I blame her?), this just looks really... inexpensive. Like a giant, itchy hairnet.

From the side it's not as bad? I think that's because I can't see the neckline. From this angle I can imagine that the black dress underneath goes up to her neck, maybe, and doesn't look quite so much like a janky old slip.

But I must doff my cap to the shoes. I love them and I cherish that she picked something cute -- not boring black, not nude, not so dramatic that they're crazy but interesting enough to make me want to reconsider the rest of the outfit. ... Yeah, except looking at it still makes my arms itch, so I'm not sure it worked.
