First of all, I am delighted that Jackie Chan is Nicole Kidman's date to this event. I have no idea how they know each other, but something about the idea of the two of them being buddies makes me very pleased. On to more important things: Her outfit. [Kidman's Facebook page makes it look like that wrap IS attached at her wrists](https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=353328558137729&set=a.111424728994781.15732.100003817635199&type=1&theater), right? You can also REALLY tell from that pic that it's not a printed pattern, those are actually sequins.

And they appear to be attached at the hip, yes? This is Prada and it is crazy, however -- I may ALSO be crazy -- I think she's statuesque enough to pull it off.

I also love a halter top, although I kind of wish the keyhole opening weren't so enormous.

But the red lips are great, and I actually kind of appreciate it when Nicole wears something slightly bold -- she used to do it all the time, and then we had like Seven Years of Pale Pink, which was a snore. This, at least, is no snore.

Even if she DOES looks like she's sewed her wrap to her hip so as not to lose it. Hey, she might have a serious problem misplacing things. Just ask Tom Cruise about the year she left eleven pashminas in Spago alone.
