Usually Kate shows up looking like she's the Prom Queen, no matter what the event is, so this was an intruguing choice -- it's more Angelina Jolie than Kate Beckinsale. Man, it SCREAMS Angelina. And if Angelina's hair ever looked half as bouncy and she ever smiled that sincerely, we might stop harping about her torrid love affair with baggy clothes. ... THIS is what Kate Beckinsale picks. And it's very... nice. And regal. And icy, and princessy, and also a snore, which is probably why I forgot about it. Look at the way it jams her chest up, too. That's not Beckinsale, that's Beckham. She may be confused about which British person she is.

There was only one photo of her in this without her legs crossed. And until I found that photo, I was concerned the skirt was keeping her that way -- like she'd managed to pop one knee over the other and then couldn't get it back and had to waddle out of there like a bathroom accident waiting to happen. I do love the color, though I am not sure the dress itself is particularly flattering -- seems sort of smooshy on the top and widening on the bottom. In all, I feel about this the way I feel about most of her clothes: Meh and hmm and *fine*, I guess, and... well, that's why we vote. Fug Nation gets to decide.

We skipped her Globes outfit because... well, there was an avalanche of stuff, and there was nothing either here or there about it, particularly. But then she hit up a couple Underworld Again: No, Really events, and we decided we'd better wake up and smell the pretty. Because seriously, whether you like the clothes or not, that woman is MAJORLY blessed. Why isn't she more famous? Hollywood LOVES pretty.
