Am I wrong to be this cranky about chokers?

The dress itself is perfectly fine, and I love her crimson nails. But it's chapping my furrow that she basically only accessorized this with a ribbon around her throat. The shaggy hair and the choker make me want to invoke Donna Martin. AGAIN. And listen, you know I love a good *90210* reference, but they lose their power after the 600th time.

Here is my ONE potential argument in favor of it: Does the dress need a hoik, secretly, and we just can't tell because the choker is somehow tricking our eyes? Or am I just deranged today?
