Here is is on Shailene and forgive me but while I love a caftan -- I AM WEARING ONE NOW, I'm not even kidding -- part of me wonders if one ought to save one's caftan years for when one really NEEDS a caftan. She looks gorgeous and fit in it, because she is gorgeous and fit, but also a little bit like the more spry, sexiest Golden Girl, whom Blanche will -- let's be honest -- probably murder in a jealous rage by beating her with a cheesecake. That might not be a totally bad thing?

Here's your runway look. I only know it's considered this look because of the fabric, and because Elie Saab literally told me that it was. Not Elie Saab PERSONALLY, the nice people who send out emails telling us who is wearing Elie Saab. Frankly, I think this version is somewhat more fabulous, so I wondered what happened in translation over now and then. It's a mystery, my friends.

[Fug or Fab: Shailene Woodley in Elie Saab Haute CoutureThank God we got a press release for this one, because I never would have been able to ID a dress that first came down the runway in 2010\. I literally don't even know what I ate for lunch yesterday. This -- the age of the dress, not my lunch -- opens up so many questions about how this particular frock ended up on this girl, not least because Shailene was like 17 at the time it showed, and probably hasn't been day-dreaming about this specific outfit since then. We're so used to seeing celebs wearing the freshest line from any given designer -- or something properly vintage, of course -- that I literally wonder how this even happened; the dress has also been altered from the runway version, and I can't think why, because it's better, as far as I am concerned, as originally seen (I stuck a snap of the original runway look in this slideshow so we may compare and contrast). I TOLD you I had questions.
