I think that pattern is so pretty, and from this angle -- her all snuggled up to him, half of her fairly obscured -- I was prepared to climb on board. ... On board the DRESS, not on board Bradley Cooper. Although he looks dashing here.

And then. To have SO MUCH fabric on one side while the other appears as if the lining is poking out... it comes across like a desperate attempt to correct a fit error, and less like a design decision. I would love to tweak the bodice so that it crosses her body in the right spot, and then think about whether I'd keep the one ruffly sleeve or trim it down. The thing with fabric that busy is that it's the star of the show. You don't really NEED a lot of tricky design work when you have a pattern like that. It does some of that work for you.

This was the photocall, and I don't know who designed her dress, but it MIGHT have been whoever at the convent admits new novices.

This just made me laugh. It looks like she's just about to crack her neck. Also, i wish she'd worn that lipstick with the other dress -- it has just a hint more life in it.
