# Fug or Fab the Statues: Mick and Keith

Mick Jagger and Keith Richards met at a train station in Dartford, UK, in 1961, and a year later the Rolling Stones were born. This statue by artist and fan Amy Goodman, which she calls the Glimmer Twins, commemorates their relationship but immortalizes them at their current ages. Now, I suspect bronze is simply not my medium. These [Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Katie Couric busts](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/jennifer-garner-brought-violet-to-the-state-dinner-12-2022/) live rent-free in my nightmares, and who could forget [the deranged Cristiano Ronaldo one](https://static01.nyt.com/images/2017/03/30/sports/soccer/30ronaldo/30ronaldo-web-superJumbo.jpg?quality=90&auto=webp&ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)? So my instinct is that these are also sort of creepy -- but maybe I'm being unfair and I'm biased against the material. However:

He looks more like [Peter Capaldi](https://th.bing.com/th/id/R.09b79f98b0b7ce0bb144697336d39f37?rik=7bqETSV7mtdVHg&pid=ImgRaw&r=0&ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io). I guess you could toss up a Tardis once a year and pretend it is. Mick might even prefer that.
