The dress is by Valentino, which makes sense. And the rural setting jibes with his current Little Compound on the Prairie collection, although the gown itself here seems more floaty and princessy and delicate than all the floral stuff from that show. It's super girly, and then you get to the veil, which is Daisy Buchanan to me. Well, Daisy Buchanan if she woke up with amnesia and wed the kindly goat farmer who taught her how to love. Call it Gatsby meets Overboard. The thing is, I actually really like Anne with this hair, so I'm sort of bummed she's swaddling her head so that we can't appreciate it fully.

Is it just the lighting, or is her dress kissed with pink? It doesn't look THIS Barbie in every picture, but there definitely seems to be at least a suggestion of it. Very unexpected from her, especially because Anne Hathaway is a lady who wears a LOT of white and clearly therefore has no fear of it. Maybe she decided she'd already worn so much of it that her wedding gown needed to feel different. But if I had to pick one celebrity who'd get hitched in a large bubblegum meringue, it would be Paris Hilton, not Anne Hathaway.

For those of you on Shoe Watch: Plain, sensible, and EEEEEVER so slightly Prom Night 1986. But listen, a lot of girls probably had VERY NICE EVENINGS in those shoes in 1986, so there you go.

"What ho, are those Von Trapp children swinging from those branches, dressed up in nothing but some old drapes?" "No, honey. They're the paparazzi. Remember? They were chasing us out of The Ivy and three of the wedding invitations ACCIDENTALLY flew out of my purse and landed at their feet?" "Right, right. Kisses."

I'm still trying to suss out the color. Maybe the sunsets in Big Sur are just really, really... blush-y. And, let's have an awwwwww for the smoochyness.

I love this photo. It's very, "Aw, man, is that DIRT on my hem?" "Yes. yes it is. Because you are LITERALLY standing on a giant swath of dirt. We are taking our wedding pictures on somebody's tractor path." "Yeah, but nobody said 'rustic' meant ACTUAL SOIL." "Annie, you ARE a card."

Aw. Again. She seems happy. And she scored a guy who'll not only consent to Dirt Road Photography, but wrangle her train for her when she decides it's been sullied as much as she can handle.
