I saw this angle first. With the shoes and the slit and... is that a devil's horn? ... it took on a mysterious, intriguing quality that made me want to see it from the front, because SURELY that angle would hold some clues, or a wonkus detail, or... SOMETHING.

And then, here we are. From the front this just seems so plain and wrinkled, like what she was supposed to wear to the hotel where her stylist would change her into the real dress, but she took a wrong turn. You can barely even SEE the horn-flaps. At least OWN your horn-flaps, people.

And then up close, it's just two thick pieces of satin that needed a bunch of other remnants to hold them together. I would like to suggest, in a Clueless tone, that it's a total Monet. But I couldn't love it from afar, either, so maybe I'll just call it an Emsley, after the perpetrator of this monsterpiece that I can't get behind at any distance.
