Don't ever say I never did nothing for you.

For some reason, this episode had an excess of hilarious facial expressions. Bilson made the classic Summer Roberts Ew Face about 70 times. Whoever directed this one must have asked everyone to be more expressive. He or she ALSO got lots of Full Body Outfit shots, for which I thank her/him. Also, the alien body that occasionally inhabits these fug-caps (aka, one of the sconces on the wall across from my TV) is BACK. I shall call her Sconcey.

"Sconcey, get out of my hair. No, I mean that literally. EW."

I got no beef with a cutesy apron.

I HAVE got beef with her makeup again. Last week, she looked so pretty! One step forward, two steps back. Sconcey suggests subtle highlights at the temples.

I never recap Bluebell's Resident Naive Crackpot, Tom. But that's because Resident Naive Crackpot Tom has never previously taken off his shirt.

One actors enter the Ew Face Cage Match. One actor leaves. Hot Neighbor Wade v. Rachel Bilson. GO.

Outfits! I love the skirt, but the rest of it looks like Zoe's in costume as the town's resident Uptight Spinster Librarian, a stereotype not seen for going on fifty years.

Lemon, however, looks adorable (that's a dress, by the way, not a romper. Blame the wind for unfounded romper-accusations).

I love this cardigan. I also applaud Jaime King -- for once -- for nailing her "WTF" face. This is, naturally, when she sees George essentially skipping through flowerbeds and kissing babies and hugging puppies and riding unicorns and dancing with rainbows, so happy is he to be free of her shackles.

I believe that, technically, he is gamboling. I also appreciate the jaunty vest.

Zoe is terrified. You'd think he really WAS riding a unicorn and she'd realized her hallucinations signified a brain tumor. In her own head.

"...am I over-accessorized?"

Breaking up with Lemon has also somehow led to George, at last, wearing pants that aren't just slightly too tight for him.

Lavon Mayes isn't just the mayor of Bluebell. He's also the mayor of Side-Eye, USA.

I will NEVER not show you Carl Winslow in a straw boater. I treasure him and want to be stuck in an elevator with him.

I like to imagine the director of this particular episode taking a seat in the edit bay with his editor and saying, "I have a VISION for this episode. And that vision is, REACTION SHOTS."

That is the only explanation for this shot. Although I appreciate Shelley really going for full-on horror, as this is a moment wherein the Anonymous Hottie was about to call HNW a pig (he called her drunk and propositioned her; earlier in the evening, he'd called her sister. I just remembered that HNW spent most of the evening in a Hangover-esque What Did I Do Last Night tizzy -- look Hart of Dixie is cute, but One Tree Hill did the Hangover homage like 4 years ago. Come on, you guys.)

Even Generally Useless Magnolia got a good reaction shot off this week.

We see more of Lavon's Crotch Details than I would expect from a show so otherwise wholesome. I'm not really COMPLAINING. I am just SAYING.

Yes, this is formal shorts, but it's also actually really cute. I am weakening.

This is for our three Tim Matheson Megafan readers. I just want you guys to be happy.

"Yes,I'm IN NEW ORLEANS, as you can see from the giant sign that says NEW ORLEANS behind me and the BEIGNET in my hand. NEW ORLEANS. Not the WB back lot. NEW ORLEANS. THIS IS ON LOCATION IN NEW ORLEANS. Later, I am going to sing for about five minutes longer than you'd let an actor sing for plot purposes, solely to illustrate that I am a good singer."

This coat and I are soulmates.

And then this happened. They made out in Tron. Then George freaked out and came back and punched Lavon. Which is I think what also happens in Tron.
