This is seriously almost indecent. Wilson Bethel's chest waxing apparently extended beyond the chest this week. Don't worry, he and Zoe haven't fallen back into bed: they've just fallen back into their usual bickering.

I love Lavon's white belt. I also love that he thought this big A on the family calendar was to mark Zoe's "menstruation," like she would mark that on their family fridge calendar. It's actually marking the day someone from her alumni magazine is coming to follow her around town, because she angrily wrote them a letter telling them she was CHANGING THE WORLD in Bluebell after they mistakenly noted she was retired. Never get into it with the alumni magazine. Mine is currently freezing me out entirely, I suspect as punishment for the fact that I spent five years sending in totally fictional and sarcastic updates. ANYWAY. Zoe has a day to change the face of medicine entirely, and this is not going to end well.

George comes over to the Breland house to a) try and make it up with Tim Matheson for the fact that he dropped Lemon like a hot potato. A hot potato in a wedding dress. And b) to let Lemon know that he's going on a date. I dropped by to let YOU know that Scott Porter has been working on his biceps.

Zoe spends the entire episode in this dress. So it's good that it is SERIOUSLY CUTE.

As are her shoes. HELLO RED PATENT WEDGE SANDALS.

Lemon clearly needs the support of friends. George is off dating, while she is living with her father and only occasionally present sister and is unemployed. And Anna Beth needs Lemon's support because her divorce just came through (hence the cream puff).

Lavon also needs some support, because Ruby is still running against him for mayor, despite the fact that there is no jauntier hat wearer in Bluebell than Mayor Lavon Hayes.

Ruby, on the other hand, is wearing a very cute shirt when she asks Lavon WHY he wants to be mayor. Poor Lavon is too flummoxed to answer.

So, right: in the midst of all this Alumni Magazine Reporter Trailing Zoe thing, it comes up that Crazy Townsperson Tom might have leprosy. I really just included this picture because they did something to the lighting this season and it is really weird now, especially in Brick and Zoe's offices. It's RIGHT on top of everyone's heads, and it's particularly unkind -- as you can see -- to Bilson's flyaways.

Lemon and Anna Beth decide they need a Girls Night Out, and also need new outfits. I would note that their outfits HERE are both very cute.

This is obviously George's date. And although his date with her goes badly -- he and Brick get into a big fight and get thrown out of the restaurant -- I'm sure she will be back, because I don't know if you hire Laura Bell Bundy for just one episode.

PS: In addition to being in a fight with George, Tim Matheson is also sad because his Long Distance Lady is Long Distance.

Of course Ruby and Cricket at at the same bar that Lemon and Anna Beth end up at, and Ruby and Lemon get all competitive blah blah blah I can't believe Ruby hasn't even mentioned her prodigious cleavage in the list she's keeping, called Ways I Have Bested Lemon.

Oh, right. remember how Zoe decided Crazy Tom had leprosy? She decided she needed to catch the armadillo that give it to him. He doesn't, and she did, but this all gave her time for a nice heart to heart with HNW -- one I think designed to de-asshole him a bit, because he has been A DOUCHE the last few weeks -- about how she needs to be better about doing what makes her happy.

Not only does Lavon break up Brick and George's fight, he does so by pointing out that they are about to wake up a local baby, whose parents' have been sleep-training for weeks! This reminds him that he is actually really GOOD at being the Mayor. He cares, he is a good problem solver, and he is instrumental in getting me full-body shots of people's outfits. TAKE THAT, RUBY.

Anna Beth is living on a boat. And Lemon is going to move in with her. Which I actually think is going to be hilarious, and is a very good idea for the show. She also is cute in that dress.

And I COVET her earrings.

And, after a heart to heart with her, Lemon realizes what job really will encompass the best of her skills and desires and goes to Lavon and offers to run his mayoral campaign. I have to say, I think this is a brilliant development. A) Lemon will be funny as a campaign manager. B) She and Ruby will be at amusing odds the entire time. C) Lemon and Lavon really work together for me as a romantic option, and I like the idea of a Lemon/Lavon/Ruby love triangle, in part because this show is good at love triangles. YOU GO, SHOW. I did not see that coming, and I think it's going to be entertaining.

Speaking of DOING WHAT MAKES HER HAPPY, apparently Hot Neighbor Wade is on that list. ZING.
