Is it weird that she almost makes polka-dots and animal print seem like a good idea? However, that skirt looks more like an animal throw you'd buy at Restoration Hardware for way too much money.

Hanna does love a blazer, so I'm glad she found one that meets her chiropractic needs.

Good old Spencer, just lounging around the house in an '80s sweater with artistically flashed bra straps.

And sleeves like a retro hockey jersey.

I like to think this symbolizes the fact that Emily is desperately seeking Maya, the girl to whom she gave her precious flower.

This blouse owes Pretty In Pink a royalty.

Everybody who dressed up for the dance - so, not Hanna - looks fairly fetching, though. Emily looks fantastic in orange, even if her sleeves are two large hankies. I can't really tell what's up with Spencer's bodice, but the presence of sequins are distracting me enough that I might not care. And Aria...

... this photo only shows SLIGHTLY better that Aria's dress appears to be printed with chandeliers, which is actually really bitchin'. I love a whimsical print. Well, sometimes. It's case by case. Oftentimes I hate a whimsical print, actually. Remember when Madonna wore a dress that looked like it was overrun with ants? I was allergic to that whimsy. Maybe I only like whimsical prints that look like a home decor catalog.

Here, Hanna appears to be wearing a maxi slip over shorts. Or a skirt. Or maybe it's a maxi dress that's only lined partway down. Either way, it's giving me a stomach ache and making me each for my SPF.

This whimsical print is so busy that for a while I couldn't tell if the photos I'd taken were blurry or not. Have you ever seen Sweet Home Alabama, and that whole part where lightning strikes the sand and blah blah blah Reese and Josh Lucas are made for each other? This shirt reminds me of that. Which is not really a compliment, even if it's true that I can't resist turning off that movie whenever I stumble upon it. What can I say? I enjoy remembering a time when I didn't want to punch Patrick Dempsey's hair.

Emily is like, "Don't look at me for fashion help. I got mauled by a jungle cat."

Man, and you can see through Spencer's turtleneck, too. Girl, if you want people to see it that badly, just wear a cardigan over it. Otherwise you might as well just go whole hog and install a bay window in that shirt with a reading nook.

Hanna then moved on from the maxi drape to, yes, formal shorts. Wrinkled ones that also appear to be pleated. Maybe that's why she looks so angry -- maybe A's revenge is to make her dress up as a yearbook photo from the mid-'90s, but without any of the quotes about eternal friendship and occasional Simpsons references.

So Hanna smartly goes and stands next to Aria, because everyone always looks sane next to Aria. Her shoes are amazing, but that purse looks like Grimace's beard clippings, and the dress. THE DRESS.

Why would anyone try to crochet a kiddie pool? Ugly AND ultimately ineffective.
