## The Liars

I feel like Spencer, Hanna, and Emily all got together and jokingly decided to dress up as Aria and see if she noticed.

Seriously, is Hanna wearing BIKE SHORTS under her mullet skirt? Maybe SHE is secretly in costume as Demi Moore from that year she wore them to the Oscars.

## Hanna

For the actual Adam Lambert Ghost Train, Hanna went as Marilyn. It's not bad, but couldn't she find a better wig? That said, I've been to costume stores and shopped for wigs, and so... possibly the answer is no.

## Aria

Aria here is dressed as Daisy Buchanan, which makes sense, because her boyfriend's name is Fitz. Her costume is actually quite beautiful. It's been a while since I've done a recap with my actual camera, and I couldn't get a photo of it that wasn't a little blurry, but suffice to say she looked great.

## Spencer and Toby

Spencer here went as an Old Hollywood actress. The lines they quoted each other were from *To Have And Have Not* \-- and also *Murder By Death*, which was parodying it, and which is one of my favorite movies ever; Maggie Smith, Eileen Brennan, Peter Sellers, David Niven, Truman Capote, Alec Guinness, and Neil Simon's words together equal YES -- but I don't think Spencer is really trying to be Lauren Bacall, or wouldn't she have worn a wig? I am overthinking this. But it's apt that she'd go as a Film Noir dame, since she's the most detective-y of the bunch.

## Emily and Paige

Emily here was... Barbarella, I think? Why isn't SHE wearing a wig? I know I complained about Hanna's earlier, but what, was there a Rosewood wig shortage this year? It feels like one of those things where they wanted this one-off episode not to be too confusing for potential first-time viewers (fat chance -- this show eats confusing for breakfast, albeit charmingly), so they made sure all the girls looked like themselves even while dressing up as other people. But. COME ON. I LOVE A WIG. Even a bad one. ESPECIALLY a bad one. THINK OF ME.

Also, Emily wasn't in this one as much. I wonder if that onesie was hella uncomfortable.

It was hella unflattering, though. Shay Mitchell is seriously so insanely pretty, and that sucker is like pelvic prison. By the way, this is the obligatory "OMG it's ADAM LAMBERT, let's walk slowly toward him while expressing our rapture" shot. Although his songs weren't terrible, so thumbs up to that. I won't spoil the plot, except to say that while the idea of this town having a ghost train/concert is sort of insane, it made for a good setpiece. I LOVE people getting trapped in crates and pushed off of things. I mean, assuming they are fictional people.

[Fug the Show: Pretty Little Liars Halloween episodeI WISH these outfits were just the girls' costumes.
