As usual, with a Karl creation, I find parts of it beautiful and parts of it totally wonkus. From a distance, the colors catch the light prettily...

... but then you get up close and it's all SO homespun, like the product of a very, very bored person who bought a BeDazzler on eBay in the middle of the night.
Also, the mono-sleeve is a bag of nuts -- I hope it inflates! -- and the way she's got all her hair stacked on that side feels very heavy.
AND FINALLY: Is that waistband even properly attached to anything? Come on now, Chanel. Dior gets a lot of flack for having become hideous, and I'm worried this means Chanel is flying under the radar a bit too much.

We need to talk about Deadpool. Specifically... people are going nuts for it and I think it looks really kind of obnoxious? Tonally? I don't know. We'll see. Or, you'll see, and you can report back to me. I think Ryan Reynolds sometimes has a bit of a glibness problem, in the sense that sometimes when that's the only note you play it can get too exhausting for people. But I also just realized that The Green Lantern was not super glib, and that REALLY DIDN'T WORK, so I get why he was attracted to a script that let him get sarcastic again. Was Green Lantern's problem, though, really the tone? Wasn't it also just general terrible boringness and cheesy effects? In sum, I have said nothing useful here.
Well, here's something: I sort of appreciate the polka-dot shirt he's sporting. It's goofy in a way that I like.

I always like to see warm body language on the red carpet. Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck trained me to watch for that stuff, or the lack thereof, so this is a very nice warm sight indeed. I'm cranky this week so EVERYONE JUST BE HAPPY.
