I feel like I'm supposed to be knocked sideways by the fabulousness of this -- I mean, I guess that's true of any outfit, but you feel me -- and yet I'm having a hard time bubbling over with affection. It might be the draping on the hips? Or the part that gathers right over her pelvis? On the other hand, it's very sleek and does make her look long, so maybe I should relax. Worse sins have been committed on this website this week.

I have to say, though, that Jeremy Renner seems like WORK. In a lot of their photos I get a vibe that her posture is good because she's holding herself as far back from him as she can considering that he often has her pulled very close. He was also hamming it up but good on this red carpet, including pulling her into a weird impromptu dance that she seemed politely thrown by. (This is but one example, where she remains totally professional but does also seem like she might be gritting her teeth and being like, "Okay, that was fun, can we stop now?") If I were a body language expert, I would be calling Us Weekly right now.
Also, I'm not going to link to it, but: The DMIK's story about this premiere was FULL of weird captions, including one discussing Amy's "sizeable assets" being displayed by the dress, and another that suggested -- over a photo of Amy giving a goofy grin and Jeremy looking totally happy -- that he didn't seem pleased by Amy's shenanigans (wha?) and then another of them smiling in which they say he cheered up once he got to pose together with his "fine filly." They actually said FINE FILLY. ARE YOU SERIOUS. IT was the creepiest thing I've read on the DMIK in a while. Well, probably.

Is that sewn onto the dress's collar, or simply laid atop it as a necklace? Either way. I love her for going with a bold accessory-type thing here.

The DMIK ALSO waxed rhapsodic about how Amy was showing plenty of cleavage in this dress. THIS IS NOT A CLEAVAGE DRESS, DAILY MAIL. Someone once told us that the DMIK staffers are told to write stories and captions as if they are describing events to a blind person, and for a while, that felt really accurate. But the Amy Adams captions all felt like LIES. This isn't even remotely a boob gown, y'all.
It DOES look great on her, though, and the bracelet is everything. As is her head.

This dress is also mostly cute, but I need to understand why her leg is peeking through the seam at me. It's clearly intentional, but... WHY? What on earth does this do except give the DMIK an excuse to be like, "Amy wore a LEGGY DRESS because she is a FINE FILLY WITH ASSETS"?
