No one is more over the Sparkly Nude Thing than I am, but I actually love this. It's so princess-y and elegant on her. It's not the most unpredictable dress in the entire cosmos, but it sure is pretty on her.
Speaking of predictable...Hey, remember when Marchesa was THE dress to wear to the Oscars? What do we think happened? Is Harvey just pushing it less aggressively? Is it the fault of The Widow Longoria? (This is fine. It's VERY Marchesa. It's what would happen if a beautiful woman decided she was actually a bird.)
She looks MISERABLE in this picture, which is actually not representative of her overall attitude last night -- that I saw, anyway. I am sorry, Sarah! Your new, darker bob is very cute and I actually think this dress is elegant on you. Albeit in a "eh, I have to go to the Oscars. Find me something sparkly with sleeves and let's get this show on the road" kind of way.
Ethan Hawke cuts his hair and all of a sudden, he looks like he just stepped out of Dead Poets Society again. That you are here! That life exists! So handsome. I feel young again. As for Julie, I fear this is slightly mumsy on her. Here it is on the runway. Truth be told, I wish she'd worn this one, instead.
This is delicate and beautiful and desperately needs jewelry.
I actually really liked this on her. And while we generally don't comment on civilians in the background, the woman in that gold frock looks AWESOME. If you know her, tell her we thinks she looks great.
AMAZING bracelet. And while I desperately love Naeem Khan, I think this needed a spot of color on her, whether a red lip or emerald earrings. Something. Because while the dress is lovely, she's kind of all the same color in it.
This might be closer to a blush than to white, but whatevs. She's been looking amazing lately, and this is elegant and classic on her.
Ah, yes. From the Valentino school of thought that goes, "let's see how musty we can make this."
