Well, damn. Other than hating how it's hemmed -- HUMANS HAVE FEET -- I think she is selling the HELL out of this jumpsuit. She looks gorgeous and cool.

This is working for me, too. It's got just enough disco flair.

This is great in some parts, but also has me concerned she's wearing a backpack.

Regal, pretty... maybe a wee stodgy. Like, Queen Letizia might wear that.

AHOY, dapper sir.

This man wants to sell your town a monorail.

They both look delightful, and John looks extra-absorbent.

She will always be Cheryl Cole to me. And the dress is... perfect for Cannes, and I DO always prefer it when people take big swings. Sometimes I think it's sneaking up on me into a garment I will like, but then in the next breath I decide it's a beige bridal miss. I think... here's what it comes down to: It fits well, but the base dress is too boring. So if you are into the neck-based demi-cape, then it will probably save this for you and maybe even make it a Fab. But if you're not, then it's over. It all hinges on the accessory.

And the accessory is weirdly compelling to me.

Again, it's at least... dramatic. Does her purse have an image OF a purse on it? Or is it some kind of padlock emoji?

I just truly hate how this looks from the front, though. Like she stole her rich mogul boyfriend's bathrobe.

She certainly looks like she thinks it smells bad, but it's nice enough on her. She's worn two black lacy things at Cannes, though, in two events. Shake out of that rut, friend.

Meh. The whole slip-dress thing feels too Fifteen Years Ago. There isn't enough of a twist here for me to think it feels new again.

Nobody tell her they already remade Charlie's Angels. Twice. She seems so optimistic that a period revamp is in order.

BIG FINISH.

At Disneyland, one might call this a Hidden Mickey.
