I like this in theory -- she does black and white with a red lip so exquisitely -- but I don't think it's giving her nearly enough bust support , for reasons I can't figure out, as it's not bare on top. There's PLENTY of room to hide some kind of equipment in there.

Hi, Cousin Matthew. Sorry about how you're dead. Would it have killed you -- again, I guess -- to give the fans a picture with Lady Mary, for old times' sake? CAN YOU NOT SNUGGLE FOR THE CAMERAS, so that we can shake our fists at the sky and bemoan what might have been, before kicking you out of bed for real and patting the mattress to let Matthew Goode know it's safe to sit down?

It's George, right? She named it George? Anyway, these are the twins playing Lady Mary's occasionally present child. LOOK AT YOUR FAMILY, MATTHEW CRAWLEY. LOOK AT THEM.
Edited to add: The next slide was added from Instagram because they posed together inside.

Adorable. This is SO much cuter and spontaneous-feeling, admittedly, than anything they'd have done on the red carpet. I love it. I wish Matthew Goode had popped by on the other side, but he wasn't there (and neither was Charles Blake, FYI). Why no Goode, y'all? WHAT ARE YOU HIDING?

I love this, though. I want Laura Carmichael to come to the States and play a sassy, snarky, less proper and perhaps slightly villainous Brit on... oh, I don't know, Empire. It needs to be something fun.

This will teach you to go into the heart of Nazi Germany, MICHAEL GREGSON.

This is not my favorite, and I'll tell you why...

Because I don't think she should HAVE to twist herself around this way just to turn the outfit into something interesting. It's kind of too late at this point.

Time for Cora to go back to her day job as a Rent-A-Matron for courthouse weddings.

If Lord G's last line isn't, "Oh, my Guternberg, I've been looking for that," then I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT.

That little girl IS good casting for a Sybil-Branson baby. I shall miss him being in Downton, if indeed Branson did go to the U.S. and stay there. But I will not miss the show's insistence on pairing him with irritating people who keep encouraging him to be a dick to the Crawleys, so.

I am also making this face, but not with joy.

I love seeing Daisy not look downtrodden. Sophie McShera was VERY funny in "Galavant," also, as was Lord G. I recommend. Especially as ABC picked it up. If you haven't seen it, it's only eight half-hour episodes. EASY binge.

Baxter, you sly Eva Green-esque fox. Who knew she had such a penchant for dramatic sleevery? Mr. Molesley would have the vapors.

She plays Mabel Lane-Fox -- no Lord Gillingham in sight here, come to think of it -- and I do not like this dress on her as much as I liked her ability to go snark-to-snark with Mary.

Speaking of Branson's misguided love interests. She looks pretty in that color.

AND THE OTHER ONE. Poor Daisy Lewis, aka Sarah Bunting: Lip Pimple. I applaud her for going for broke with this color, but it's too tight.

I liked Isobel's love interest from last season, but seriously, she and Dr. Clarkson totally work for me. Put that man out of his sexual misery, Isobel.

Do you hear that, Isobel?

I love you, kind sir. I hope your alter-ago Mr. Carson has finally gotten a big fat steamy kiss from Mrs. Hughes.

She looks beautiful. She IS beautiful.

Jimmy, you scamp, it's nice to see your face. I just now realized EvilButler.com is't present. WHEREFORE ART THOU, EVILBUTLER.COM?

Aunt Rosamund looks wonderful. Did we discuss yet that she's Moneypenny in the Pierce Brosnan Bond films? Because she is. And, still foxy. James would be lucky to have her. (As would the current Bond with the current Moneypenny.)

Lavinia Swire! That is some CLEAV. I actually want to love how she looks -- the pattern is really pretty -- but I can't deal with the cut of this sucker. I wish it had hit at her true waist.

WE LOVE YOU, VIOLET.
