From the waist up, I think this is divine for a bad-ass neurosurgeon, still in her scrubs, fresh from saving your life. From the waist down, she looks like she ran out of her house in her jammies when the place exploded.

Those sandals are wackadoo, but this whole thing kind of works for me. For one thing, SUNGLASSES, but for another, something about this feels very *Talented Mr Ripley* on her -- she looks so GOOD in that movie -- and also who doesn't salute a woman whose manilla envelope matches her dress? Nothing says BACK TO SCHOOL like wielding a well-coordinated office supply.

Maybe these are the only other shoes she BROUGHT to New York? (But that dress is slouchily fab on her in a way where I'd just look like a deflated balloon.)

No, that's insulting) is starring in The Maids in New York right now, and apparently the production is quite excellent, although I confess it sounds like a rather confusing play. And I say that as a person with a degree in literature who also was once the president of her high school drama club so you know I know my shit. Regardless of all that, what this really means is that she's tromping around New York every day and we get to eyeball her outfits.
