Halle Berry

We didn't have a full-length shot, but whatever it is, I think it's a safe assumption Halle Berry looks great in it. I will NEVER get used to her with long hair, though, no matter how many times she wears it that way.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Halle Berry

Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Halle Berry comic-con extant

JDM up there was just cast in "The Good Wife" as a love interest for Alicia. The quote that the Kings gave was, and this is almost verbatim, "We love Jeffrey Dean Morgan and were thrilled to discover Julianna feels the same way," and to me that says, "She is IMPOSSIBLE and we want to STRANGLE HER SOMETIMES ARE YOU HAPPY NOW JULIANNA WE GOT YOU ONE THAT YOU LIKE." Not for nothing, JDM also became famous working opposite another notorious actress, Katherine Heigl, on "Grey's Anatomy." And he dated a third, Mary Louise Parker. So they must figure he's got experience.

My BEEF with it is that I think once you shave off the beard, he and Chris Noth are too similar in type. But if they can make it work, I'm willing to get on board the ship. The pressure is ON. The advantage Matthew Goode had was, he could spent part of season 5 kicking around NOT being a love interest because we thought Josh Charles was sticking around, and then once he died, they only had a few episodes left of the season and he could just BE there and they didn't force anything. And then of course season 6 started, and CHEMISTRY. But JDM is coming in with that express intent. It's a hard job.

Katharine McPhee

Well, that's a lot more serviceable than a lot of the things she wears. And no sheers! She ALWAYS gets sucked into The Sheers. Brava, milady.

Marg Helgenberger

marg helgenberger

OH MARG. I really like Marg Helgenberger, is the thing. I didn't watch CSI, I didn't watch Intelligence, I quit Under the Dome in the first season because of all the stupid, and I only ever skimmed China Beach. But I've always been Team Helgenberger because she seems really cool and I wouldn't mind getting my shit together so that I look this good at her age. But seriously, that skirt is a miscarriage of spandex. It looks like somebody McPhee'd her. I would genuinely swear McPhee owns that thing and Marg showed up in her jersey shirt and a pair of jeans and Kat shook her head and said,"No, Marg, you have to give the fans SOMETHING other than your face," and thrust this hideous white caution fence into Marg's hands.

STILL BAD, MARG. RUN.

Jenna Coleman

It used to be that I couldn't see her name without hearing Nathan Lane from "The Birdcage" discussing the Goldman/Coleman last name. Now I just look at her and read her mind thusly: "Yes. Yes I know things. About Prince Harry. And you'll never get them from me, so we'll just have to continue knowing that you know that I know, and that you will NEVER know what I know. Know what I mean?"

Jake McDorman, Hill Harper

These two look fine, but WHAT is in Jake McDorman's back pocket? A wallet and how many iPhones?

James Wolk

This dude. He is SO CUTE, and has not had a show he fronts (he was peripheral in Mad Men) blow up into a success. He OUGHT TO. America, please embrace James Wolk. Although maybe James Wolk needs to embrace more good scripts. Let's cast him on something that's currently a success but in need of an infusion, like... shoot, it can't be a Shonda show, or else he will become awful. We'll brainstorm it in the comments.

Billy Burke

I believe the "con" here is that someone told him he had a drumming gig.

Wesley Snipes

wesley snipes

Okay, but his new show, "The Player," looks SO BAD. It's basically him gambling on crime -- like, Person of Interest meets The Blacklist meets that screwball comedy "Rat Race" that wasn't actually funny (except for some of the stuff John Cleese was betting on. casually in the background, while the race happened). Wesley can predict crime, Wesley hires a dude to try and stop it, Wesley gambles on whether he can. NEXT. Also, even with that kicky plaid jacket in his arsenal, he would have been a terrible Lucius Lyon (as much as Terrence Howard is himself apparently a horrible person, he is well cast as a bloviating egomaniac), so that's for the best.

Rhona Mitra

Marissa Neitling (The Last Ship) looks adorable, and Rhona Mitra looks like she is flipping us an upside-down bird with her lower body. That dress is THE WORST BLIGHT.

Kristen Connolly

This is not super inspiring -- it feels very LK Bennett Budget Swap -- but at least she didn't wear a white, nude, or black pump.

I'm not sure if I LIKE these, necessarily? But I appreciate the thought that went into them, by her.

Nora Arnezeder

That shirt is begging for some perv to drop change at her feet and then sneak a peek when he goes to collect it.

These are maybe evil but in a charismatic way where you realize you're rooting for the bad guy to blow up all the heroes.

Fugs and Fabs: Celebs at Comic-Con, Day 1
I don't understand why Comic-Con is basically just Anything-Con now. So many of these shows are not comic, nor comics. I suppose it may bear out that some of these are long cons, which would at least cover that word. [Photos: Fame/Flynet, Getty]
