This is not especially captivating, but it's Rihanna. Slouchy-chic is her jam. It could have been so much worse.

What a gorgeous skirt. The Dior press release has the whole THING as Dior, which.... I would not have admitted that. I would have let people think Diane found a mangy old sweater and stuck it under her dress.

She's pregnant, so whatever with this. But the skirt under it is such a nice fabric that I don't get the point of the drawstring bag. That's SO Dior: Bury your nice ideas under something asinine.
As an aside, I feel sorry for her that her baby news is always and forever going to be tied to the Brangelina divorce. Please note: I am not saying I think she and Brad hooked up, and frankly, I don't even really care; they did, they didn't, whatever. (Even if something did happen, it doesn't mean he impregnated her, or even that her relationship isn't totally healthy and fine.) But I 100% think Angelina knew about the rumors, knew Marion was pregnant, and knew when she'd hit 12 weeks and consider announcing. And I think all of that played into why Angelina filed on the day she did. She nailed the post-Emmy pre-debate timing. She made sure every possible angle of this thing got attention because most of the magazines had already closed for the week, so they had to blanket their websites with gossip. She knew filing for divorce would IMMEDIATELY cause people to connect the Marion and Brad dots forever, and she totally worked that to her advantage. Because now even if it really IS Marion's partner's baby, Marion saying that doesn't really mean anything -- the denials are muted -- because OF COURSE she was never going to come out and say, "Well, yes, this MIGHT be our second child? But it could also be Brad's, due to all the adulterous banging? NO IDEA. Have a nice day!" Angelina is a Machiavellian PR genius. Do not tangle with her.She is FEARSOME.
Also, apologies to the commenters for forgetting/not knowing the extent of the plane thing. I forgot it first, then remembered it wrongly as only being a verbal argument. OBVIOUSLY the plane thing changes the flavor of my Angelina PR theories somewhat.

That is a gorgeous coat. Oh, coat weather, why have you eternally forsaken me?

I preferred this when I didn't know it was a full long-sleeved lacy overlay. Although the shirt doesn't entirely work here regardless; I want to give that skirt something better.

SHOES. Also, that's very cool and weird and unusual. I really like it, I think.
So, you've seen all these folks in fancy dress, and now get ready for what spokesperson Jennifer Lawrence is wearing.

Wah-waaaaah. Now, this IS all actually Dior, even the jeans; I guess the new creative director is trying to inject some rock and roll into the brand. Which.... Dior has so badly lost its way, and I don't know if the solution here is to push it into Alexander Wang territory. I feel like, reach back to the classics, find some Dior touchstones, and rebuild out from there. Jennifer looks ridiculous -- albeit admittedly more comfortable than in most other Dior outfits she's ever worn, which to me suggests it's a bad match with the brand, and not that the brand needs to turn itself into Seven For All Mankind.

This is a denim Elvis shirt. COME ON. That's Hot Topic, not high fashion.

Much more relaxing. And I say that knowing the boob valance is not ideal. Also: THAT LIPSTICK. YES.

It's very telling that someone who's been a edgy as Milla Jovovich was even like, "NO THANKS, just a blouse and a skirt for me."

This feels like something they'd have offered Jennifer. She even LOOKS a bit like Jennifer. Maybe she'll be their new Jennifer.

She is my Leather Pants Goals icon for the week. Jennifer Lawrence -- or Kate Moss, for that matter -- should've worn THAT.
