Katy Perry ALWAYS goes all out for Halloween, and this is an amazing Hillary costume -- with Bill (last I heard, this was a friend of Katy's and not Orlando Bloom), secret service, and all.

It amuses me that Bette Midler just seriously recreated her entire *Hocus Pocus* costume. Why not? The kids love it. (I missed the *Hocus Pocus* boat by virtue of the fact that I was too old to care when it came out originally, and I don't have any kids.)

You probably saw elsewhere on the internet that [Hilary Duff's idiot boyfriend dressed up as a Native American to accompany her Sexy Pilgrim](https://people.com/celebrity/hilary-duff-boyfriend-jason-walsh-native-american-costume/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io). They have both apologized, but...seriously. I cannot believe either one of them thought that was anything even APPROACHING a good idea. It's 2016\. That kind of thing is never acceptable, but considering what's happening at Standing Rock right now, it feels doubly insensitive, if such a thing is possible. There are 100,000 costumes that people can wear on Halloween that are fun and sexy and amusing and clever that manage not to be massively offensive. Unless the two of them are actually unfrozen cavemen, there is no longer any excuse for this sort of thing. You are grown adults. Act like it. (This is leaving aside the fact that I actually ALSO think Sexy Pilgrim is incredibly stupid, on a much lesser level. \[a\] That's THANKSGIVING, you dumb-ass, and \[b\] technically the Pilgrims came to America to escape religious persecution and that is sort of a strange thing to sex-up, when it comes right down to it. Not everything needs to be sexy. You can create a cool Halloween costume of a historical figure and NOT turn it into a leotard and you will STILL LOOK ATTRACTIVE AND INTERESTING. And I am not a person who opposes a sexy costume! But JUST DRESS UP AS SOMETHING SEXY IN THE FIRST PLACE ARGH.)
