Whereas for me, this is depressing and unflattering and weird. I had a doll when I was a child that must have been my own mother's, because it was old even when I was little, and it was basically a Barbie-type figure who was dressed up as a Spanish Senora, in black lace, with a black lace mantilla and a peineta. And of course I loved her, because this woman had obviously LIVED and probably a widow (in my mind) due to some sort of dashing and tragic and romantic series of events, but she was also probably currently in love with a toreador (I had very stereotypical views about Spain when I was seven years old, I guess) and it was all going to work out. I watched a lot of soap operas, what can I say? And this reminds me of her outfit, without the drama or the implied romance. Or the mantilla. Or any toreadors. I need AT LEAST ONE of those things to improve this.
