This color is great, and how conservative it is works for this event, as far as I am concerned. (It might be a weeeee bit too tight, but I am struggling to be impartial here. Given that she and I both attended the same tiny high school, I have a small but not insignificant fear that she and I are somehow going to end up at an event together and she's semi-justifiably going to punch me in the face.)

EDITED TO ADD: Sophia just tweeted about this and says she gushed about GFY in said interview, which is not how I personally remember the interaction (I don't believe I introduced myself as being from GFY. I would have used NY Mag because that is who I was interviewing her for; I never name-drop GFY at Fashion Week). Like most people, I generally don't forget people who are complimentary to me, so my theory is that she may have said kind things about me to OTHER PEOPLE -- which I also appreciate, of course! I just was unaware of it! All that said, I wanted to let you guys know that she has weighed in as not having the same memory of our interaction at all. (Here, in fact, is her comment as a whole.) So, there you go! Trust me when I tell you that I am delighted to report that apparently this was alll a misunderstanding. I have a long-standing love for all things OTH, as you know, this makes me feel as if we've all taken a trip to the River Court and done some healing.
