Sgt. Pepper has a rebellious teenage granddaughter.

Aviator frames as actual glasses are never going to work for me. Nor do they especially work for her.

Peep-toe over-the-knee boots seem to have their priorities askew.

I guess she in fact IS Sam Waterston's daughter -- this is a banner week for me learning about celebrity offspring; JLD's daughter on Veep is apparently Kiefer Sutherland's daughter in real life -- and now that I'm aware of this, it seems obvious. Not as much in this photo maybe, but when I googled it I came up with a few where she TOTALLY has his smile. Her Wiki page ALONE.
I'm not sure how much I am looking forward to this movie, though. I hope it's wonderful, but I must be honest: I am not an Eddie Redmayne fan, and so the previews annoy me greatly, as did that leak about the American slang for "muggle" being "no-maj," which is painful to me. BUT, I will try to open my mind. Both to the movie and to Eddie and to his sweater.

I do not need to open my mind to this man. It is already WIDE OPEN to him. He is wonderful on "This Is Us." I can't actually tell how well-written his character is, because he himself brings so much to every single nuance that it automatically becomes a pleasure to behold. (And speaking of offspring: If you did not already know, his bio father on the show -- Ron Cephas Jones -- is the proud pops of Hamilton's And Peggy, aka Jasmine Cephas Jones.)

Mandy looks very nice here. She's pretty good on the show as well, although the aging makeup didn't really land for me. Honestly, I want the show to grow out of its flashbacks and out of the parents a bit, and stick with the kids.

I'm sure Milo will be glad when he can abandon the mustache.

She's wonderful on the show, and terribly underwritten. So far Kate's only characteristic is her weight and how she feels about her weight, which is not unrealistic but the show needs to give her more dimension beyond that. Because they have a great actress who can play all of it, and instead she's in this weird Mike & Molly rehash and marooned away from her brothers. I want Kate to see herself as more than her size, and she won't until the SHOW sees her that way too.

Justin is typically charismatic and charming. His character is the most potentially annoying, but his innate likability and comic timing make Kevin come together.

I applaud anyone brave enough to mix patterns; I am not that person. But do we think this is an EFFECTIVE mix of patterns? I'm very nearly sold on it, I confess.

Sunglasses Make Everyone Hotter: Jared Padalecki's Hair Needs The Help Edition.

Grant looks so cute in his thick frames. I've never heard anything but that he's a lovely person, for whatever that's worth.

Ditto Melissa. Who looks REALLY cute here. I think I wish the top of the dress was not a ruffle, but it's hard to tell because I didn't have a shot of her standing up straight in it. Nonetheless, the rest is so solid.

I haven't heard anything about Caity, so let's just assume she's also nice. I wish this dress had just given up and fused into one piece.

Rachel Bloom went with the totally sensible panel outfit, which -- getting a look at those chairs they had to climb in and out of -- actually makes plenty of sense to me.

Valencia chose something the length of my swimsuit cover-up, which from the seated shots appears to made things a bit more complicated. So let's look at her dancing instead.

Business as usual.

I approve.

I like this dress, actually. I just wish it were not so Jolie Leg.

Eau de 90s.

Her purse is watching. WATCHING.

Those are some intense pockets. I assume she uses them to carry laptops.

All I can see of this is that shoe, which pains me deeply.

And here is La Peet, coming along to give Fug Nationals new stripe inspiration.

He loves to wear hats that Fraulein Maria would've bought in her pre-convent days.

This seems about right.
