Bizarrely, the part of this dress I dislike the LEAST is the pizza portion down by the hem. The top part is spectacularly unflattering, and the entire effect is of a skeleton of an unforgivable bridesmaid dress.

I lied. I also hate the pizza.

This is basically the exact chiropractic opposite of Paris Hilton's standard red carpet pose.

"Bond," he's thinking. "James Bond." It's not working.

This is from the same Gucci family as the Nicole Kidman dress from the CMAs; I guess Gucci is into prim nighties. Kidman's was more polished to me than this one, although this DOES give me pleasant memories of my 4th grade teacher Ms. Houde reading "The Trumpet of the Swan" to us. So that's something.

I know we make a joke about fisherman's nets fairly regularly, but... I would take all those back to be able to make it the first time here. This REALLY looks like she was just hauled in from the sea.

That's very pretty. I'd like it better a touch higher, and truly strapless.

Oh, JK. You are a personal hero of mine -- I wish I could rent your brain for a while -- but I don't know if I could allow even a bejeweled lizard that giant to live on my hip. Also: I veto the shoes. But I will never veto you. I JUST CAN'T BREXIT YOU.

My hair never looked this cute short. But I also never wore this dress, so maybe we're even.

She looks VERY Retro Demi Moore to me in this dress.

Luna! Hello! That's too much makeup, but congrats on the dress. Faces can be washed in the ladies' room; dresses can't easily be swapped. So you did the main thing well.

This is the dress version of that silly new iMessage thing where you can draw neon notes with your finger.

I find this DELICIOUSLY '80s. The dress is obviously more modern, but the styling with it is pure nighttime soap Morgan Fairchild realness.

Oh, Ann Curry. You quirk machine, you.

I hope she and Ann had a long discussion about good frames.
