Florence Welch

This actually isn't hideous, and she's carrying it, but it's also so funny to me. Like she's in a sequel to Enchanted in which a Jane Austen heroine falls through a wormhole and pops out at a modern museum, falls in love with some computer mogul named Darcy Bingley, and learns important modern lessons about things like Facebook and spoiler ettiquette, microwave cooking, and feminine hygiene.

I read somewhere that Flo and Blake Lively are bosom buddies who have sleepovers and dance around in their jammies and try on clothes and things. And since Blake Lively once wore a red suit similar to this, I'm imagining now that Florence tried it on one night while they were singing along to "Unwritten" and having pillow fights, and decided she HAD to rock one herself and then went out and found an even more expensive version. I don't hate it, but I'm having uncomfortable feelings about the pants.

And of course, there has been singing in capes. This color on her, with that skin and red hair, is superb. And I enjoy that whenever she wears stuff like this at concerts, she looks like she's leading Mass at a really groovy church. I like her better as a sorceress, not some costumey star of a lousy time-travel rom-com.
