Part of me wonders if something slightly softer -- more Dita Von Teese -- would have given this the unimpeachable glam factor it wants, although I do understand the temptation not to do too much to compete with the gown. Which I love. This whole outfit looks to me like a special-effect -- like when Robert Patrick in Terminator 2 would be in the middle of morphing from metal into human.
