I made a joke at some point over the last few days about how capes are really hot right now and I actually think capes are really hot right now. This outfit is CRAZY -- she looks like a 60s debutante who decided her dress was too subtle and wrapped the rest of its material around her so she made more of an impression, a very floral impression -- but the truth is that (a) I seriously do love capes. I own three. Sincerely. And, (b) if either of these pieces were complimentary instead of full-on matching, I'd probably love this. Bear in mind that I am delirious right now, though.

Obviously, Annie Lennox is a deeply awesome human but let's be honest, dear friends: this dress is made from the blankets they wrap around you when you stumble out of a burning building in the middle of the night.

Being a celebrity must be exhausting come awards season time. So many hair-styles and dresses and makeup and manicures and photographs. I mean, it's not like any of these people are doing back-breaking work re-paving the city streets or fighting fires or saving lives, but they at least probably wish they were at home in their pajamas watching Vanderpump Rules and drinking wine out of the bottle.
