Why doesn't this work? It's a cute enough idea, and it probably did need the belt to give it shape, but I feel -- like with all her outfits -- that it's just left of good.
This, however, is super cute. I wish "New Girl" weren't having such a creative slump. They ruined Schmidt.
She'll be back when "24" is, which is good, and DAMN, I love this outfit so much. It's so breezy and perfect. It makes me want to go to luncheon. Not lunch. Luncheon.
This also isn't quite there for me. Why? Actually, it might just be that the way she's standing, it almost looks like the bodice shifted to the right on her a little bit.
I almost didn't recognize her without Katrina Crane's grim purgatory clothes and sense of urgency.
Oh, J.Lo. I imagine she's much happier now that she can sit between Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr. It's like FOX promised her as much clean-smelling man-flesh as possible. I enjoy the inherent drama of this dress, but the lipstick is too hot for it. Fire-engine hot.
Girl, you're on the Golden Globe winner for Best Comedy. You're going to need to rethink.
She looks nice? She is my nemesis on that show, though -- the one part of it I cannot stand. Which I don't blame her for; it's the way they're writing her. All the Michael Schur shows use the previous one as its mold (Parks and Rec copying The Office, this one copying Parks and Rec), and then spent a season trying to shift the pieces into a more unique ensemble. For this show, they have two older Gerrys, for example, and she was the April Ludgate (the crabby female cop is a cross between April and Early Ron Swanson), so all she did was walk into rooms and sneer really awful, surly things to people that weren't funny, just because they decided they needed someone around who was awful to people for no reason. They've since pulled back on that and it works much better, much how April only became tolerable when they gave her a crush on Chris Pratt. So. In sum, not Chelsea Peretti's fault, hope it keeps getting better, and her co-star Melissa Fumero may need her wardrobe help.
Hey, Lieutenant Abbie Mills, you vixen.
She looks great, except the red accessories scream for a redder lip, I think. But I need to vent about this: What is up with that Tropicana ad with her and Jane Krakowski? In those ads, Jane basically plays a parody of herself, so when the ad starts and she's talking to Judy Greer, I assumed SHE was ALSO playing herself. Except then they make a reference to being sisters and how they only have their mother's word for it, and... isn't Judy Greer too recognizable, from having been in a TON of things, NOT to be playing herself? It's just weird. The end.
THIS is who they should have plugged in as Jane Krakowski's Fake Sister. Also, this outfit is fine, but perhaps a mite too old for her.
Whoever is wrangling her hair these days -- I believe she wears wigs -- is not mastering the top of her head.
She is very lovely, and was actually good on "One Tree Hill" despite dopier than usual storylines. But I think maybe that pelvic bone is a bridge too far.
On the other hand, I love how eye-crossingly funky this is.
I could not be happier that she's returning to TV -- she will be on "24" also -- but THIS IS A MESS. Fox needs to take her and Melissa Gallo to Barneys.
I love that jacket.
I basically didn't even recognize him.
I didn't recognize HIM at first, either. He looks like Charlie Hunnam all of a sudden. Which is fine; it's just jarring. What would his Uncle Knox say?
I DO recognize the Kief, though. Welcome back, you sly dog.
