I think... you know, I like this. I do. But I keep coming back to wishing it were a different fabric. Something about this one looks inexpensive, as if it began life as a duvet cover by Calvin Klein for Macy's.
This Versace dress is... okay? Actually, I think she looks good in it, and hooray for purple. And once I realized that's not netting there, but actual fabric, I was more comfortable.
But you can see why I might have been worried. That is AWFULLY sideboob-esque right there. (Also, in thumbnail, I kept thinking that was her bare, strangely pointy foot sticking out.)
In close-up, it's either fabric or maybe netting with color shot through it enough to trick the eye. Either way, it's not see-through -- but it wants you to think it is. So we're getting deliberate shades of underboob. It WANTS you to think it's underboob, but it's actually an underboob pretender. What an ignoble mission.
I want to like this, but that color on her is doing zero for me. Imagine how stunning this would have been if it slipped and fell anywhere else on the Pantone wheel.

I am having a hard time getting used to Gilded Franco. He comes off like a grown-up Dennis the Menace.
Michelle looks fantastic here, though. Mila looks mostly good although the combo of the ruffle and all the horizontal bunching is overly fussy. Franco just looks like he parachuted onto Normandy and hiked the rest of the way. Knowing him, he probably did, and filmed it, and then just now wrote a Ginsberg-style poem about it.
