That said, I have to give her credit for changing into an outfit for the show that literally had me wonder, "did her red carpet dress have a TEAR AWAY SKIRT?" Sadly, no, but she seems like she'd be game to try that, and I encourage it. (That's a compliment, I promise.)

Honestly, I think this is cute. The denim pencil skirt is on topic, and her shimmery top is flattering and matches her instrument. You go, Miranda. (I like her and don't even know why. Kelly Clarkson also seems to like her, though, and I feel like if Kelly is cool with you, so am I.)

I can't believe I missed ANOTHER awards show -- here, the CMT Artists of the Year Awards, which I guess varies from the CMTs in that...it's....held on another night? I don't even know. This feels sort of spring-y, but my real problem is that her shoes could be so much better. Think about it, Miranda. Think about it for next time.
