ALSO: Ralph Fiennes was also at this event and as a Former Ralph Fiennes Obsessive, of course I know that he and Alex Kingston dated for ten years before they got married (she wore purple) and then he left her like six months later for Francesca Annis who at the time was playing his mother in *Hamlet*. (In retrospect, as an adult, I wonder if that wedding was a last-ditch effort to stitch things together.) Then, of course he allegedly had an affair with a Romanian pop star, which broke up the Annis relationship. As fond as I am of Fiennes, I suspect that many ladies around the world refer to him as Voldemort AND MEAN IT. ANYWAY. I wonder if them being at this event together was awkward or if they're both like, "THAT was crazy, right? But the most pressing is: is that satin waist ruffle sturdy enough to support using it as a place to store appetizers? [Fugs and Fabs of The BAFTA Britannia Awards: The LadiesI like the idea that, a couple of years ago, the folks at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts got together and were all, "You guys? Having one major awards show isn't enough. Let's throw some random other ones in the United States!" Now, I say "a couple of years ago," but The Hollywood Reporter claims that this event has been happening for twenty-two years, so...just imagine that meeting with everyone wearing plaid and Doc Martens. Also according to THR, at this particular event this weekend, Sasha Baron Cohen apparently did a "hilarious" "prank" involving knocking over a woman "in a wheelchair" which sounds very "delightful" indeed. Don't get me started on him.
