Apparently she's in The Book Thief, and is terrific therein -- she won an award at this event. She's also 13, which might be a LITTLE young for this trusty old Stella, but the color is lovely on her.
One of these days, she's going to show up at something wearing, like Taylor Momsen's old leggings and a couple of coffee filters taped together as a top and the shock of the misstep will cause all of our heads to collectively explode.
She love this length, and while I am generally neutrally on it, I think Sandra wears it well. Otherwise, this -- while perhaps not BLINDINGLY DRAMATIC -- is very pretty on her. This is apparently the 17th Annual Hollywood Film Awards, but considering that I was unaware of the 16th previous Hollywood Films Awards, it also seems appropriately unassuming for the event.
Jerry Weintraub, of course, is the former CEO of United Artists and produced A LOT OF STUFF, including all the Ocean's pictures, which is presumably why he knows Julia. Brace yourself, because I am about to say something extremely shocking: I actually think ol' Jules looks pretty good here.
I could not be less interested in her, but that dress is great on her. McConaughey, on the other hand, I quite like at nearly all times, but he totally has started making ONLY this face on the red carpet. He has caught a raging case of Blue Steelitis.
As always, he looks like a world of yes.
Viola! You know you need a bracelet. Otherwise: carry on.
I cannot explain it, but I am totally buying whatever the hell it was Leto is selling lately. The 90s ARE back, including, apparently, my taste in dudes. Now, someone find me Dylan McKay.
I remain somewhat unmoved by the return of the double-breasted suit.
I basically imagine Jane Fonda striding around in a black pantsuit and a giant rhinestone belt buckle and piles of jewels at all times. I feel like this is what she's wearing during anything from Taco Tuesdays, to waiting in line to vote, to brunch down at the country club, to picking up a box of nails at the hardware store.
This hair style is very flattering on her.
In which Gyllenhaal gives us his best Matthew McConaughey.
And here we have entered the portion of the slideshow where I make inarticulate noises of displeasure.
GO UP A SIZE.
With apologies to Diego Boneta, who looks tremendously dapper here, I will never see him without thinking of the time ABC Family made him star in Mean Girls 2.
Ostensibly, I have some issues with this: the hem is sort of weird, her shoes are not particularly my jam, it probably needs to be pulled up a bit. But she's kind of working it. Unless that's the DayQuil talking. (I'm at the stage in a head cold where I feel fine, and look hideous, but I sound much sexier than usual; I should rerecord my outgoing message before tomorrow, when I will sound like Bea Arthur.)
Showing up to represent for all the fans of Everyone Looking Hotter In Sunglasses.
Octavia rather looks as if this dress is a trial she is enduring rather than something she is enjoying.
I don't understand why this hair is happening to us.
