It will SHOCK YOU to hear that her shoes are nude pumps. It shocked ME that she is wearing a glorified sports bra.
I mean... the giant X on her torso says it all.
That's not the best dress shape. But beyond that, I HATE the styling. The super shiny lapels and super shiny rose-gold shoes and super shiny bag are too much -- I would lose the shoes -- and her makeup looks like it was designed for a totally different outfit. The whole thing is trampling her.
This would've been more successful if the ENTIRE right side were black. As is, it just looks bizarrely censored.
It's... fine? It's different for her, at least, but those shoes are giving me the WORST memories of the late '90s. And one Fug National noted that the dress -- which is Alexander Wang, and available at Barneys for $645 (!) -- is also a secret sideboob fest.
Zoe here is the cookie-cutter Acerbic Single Brunette on "Friends With Better Lives," a title which I am stunned got through because I do NOT have any idea what that's supposed to be implying. Are their lives better than MINE, or than they were a week ago, or than the lives of the original Friends? Like, I don't want to watch a show where the title tells me these people are like me but WAY AWESOMER. I can infer that all on my own when I look at Brooklyn Decker. Anyway, based on how it looks like her topknot is knocking her lopsided and her top is from a road production of Grease, I'm feeling good about my life right this second. But I wouldn't mind if that skirt came into it.
She is just a lovely girl, and that boring-ass dress is killing me. MAJOR points for being classy and resisting The Crazy; now let's just find the middle ground between this and, like, Rodarte.
The most interesting thing here: The multi-colored fingernails.
Points for the shoes and lipstick, but it can't JUST be about that. This needs about three inches and one spicier accessory.
I get the idea behind the top, but I also think it is a BAD idea.
I want to love this, but somehow the two pieces together are super unflattering on her.
This, I like. Nikki Reed has developed a tendency to show up places quietly looking really rather good. I'm sort of sad it didn't work out for her and her kooky "American Idol" contestant husband, because I saw the episode where they met on a red carpet and remember thinking, "Oh, these two are HOT for each other," and it was fun to be right.
Well her face really DOES look fresh, so at least there's that.
